When it comes to who you are and what your brand stands for you should want something more than a typical headshot session. We all know the session I am talking about, most major corporations have it done for you as a new hire, the one from the shoulders up and looks like everyone else's.
I am here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way. When you book your branding session with me we are going to carefully curate everything so that it not only reflects your brand but also draws out your personality. Curious how this will go? Well let's dive in!
First things first, reach out to me and set up an initial call to talk about what you are looking to get out of your session and see if I am the right fit for you. Like jeans not every photographer is going to be your perfect fit and that is ok! After your call when we are both sure that this is the right fit we will do a storyboard call. During this call we are going to talk about your favorite colors, I am going to ask you to bring inspiration images, who your ideal client is and what you want to them to think when they see your images.
From that call I am going to put together 3-4 ideas for you to review and give feedback on. This is your session, own it, put your voice into what you want your images to look like and I promise you will love them. When we don't feel like we see ourselves in our images is when we decide we don't like them and they don't fit the brand.
After we get our looks signed off on we are going to pick out a date that is 2-3 weeks out. I do this for a few reasons, first if you need to source outfits for the shoot I don't want you to feel like your scrambling, second if you want hair/makeup for the day of we need to give advanced notice and finally I will ask everyone to get a manicure and yes I am talking about men as well. It can be as simple as having them clean up the cuticle beds, trim, file and buff or as elaborate as getting a really fun design put on. This is especially important if we are doing any shots where you are holding something, it will take the image down a notch from polished to ok.
Finally the day of your session has arrived! Plan on spending anywhere from 2-4 hours at the studio, on the longer end if you have things you are needing to bring to set up for your session. We will run through your looks, taking breaks as we go and getting a variety of images for each look. We will focus on the things you pointed out during our call that you want your clients to know about you and think/feel when they see your images. Most of all we are going to have fun!
Post session here is what you can expect from me for turn around and gallery delivery. After your session I am going to go through and cull the images to remove any that are either blurry, where you blinked, or just isn't flattering. Then I will color correct and provide you with a proof gallery. From there we are going to narrow down 5-10 images per look that you want fully edited and delivered in high resolution format. Once those images are selected by you I will put them into my editing cue and that can range anywhere from 1-2 weeks during slow seasons (winter/spring) or 3-4 weeks during busy sessions (summer/fall). Your gallery will be delivered via an online platform that gives you the opportunity to download both websized images as well as high resolution full sized files for you to use as needed.
I love these sessions and the creativity that comes with them, are you ready to create dynamic images that showcase your brand? Reach out to me today to get started!
