Newborn & Family Photography Studio in the Heart of Lakeway
What a whirlwind it has been the past couple months and I cannot be more thankful for all the returning and new clients that have walked through my first brick and mortar studio in the heart of Lakeway, Texas.
As many of you know I had been working out of my home in Austin since we moved here in 2018 and as much as I don't want to admit it I know there is a stigma associated with home studios. My choice to move outside the home was twofold, it stemmed from a new for more space & ability for growth. The first reason was I ran out of space and was constantly having to set something up and take it down within the same day, wasting so much time moving things around that just really needed to be left up. The second is that I wanted to push my skillset and really grow my business in this community that we call home.
So when my dear friend Julie with Century 21 called me up and said there was a space available in the same complex she was in it felt like it was meant to be. The space was perfect for what I wanted to do. There is a reception area, a room dedicated for cake smash/families/maternity with a sink, a room dedicated to newborns, ample storage plus a large restroom with an entryway that will turn into a changing area!
The space definitely needed some love, the walls were a weird beige color, the carpet was old and smelled funky so I got to work planning! With the help of my husband, my three kids and a few amazing contractors we turned the space around completely. The white walls and laminate flooring brought a renewed energy to the space, evoking a clean and bright feeling.
I am proud to say that I was able to open my doors on June 1 to a month of cake smashes, newborns and even an extended family session! Every week since then I have been pouring my heart into this studio space, to make it everything I would want it to be if I was the client. There is still a need for a few more comfy chairs & snacks but that is in the works too!
