Weddings!  So many to get caught up on so as well as engagements as this summer comes to a close that I hope you get a chance to look through and enjoy all the posts that are to come.  C&D got married late 2015 overlooking the Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir at Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center in Burlingame.  You would think that a November wedding would have to be inside as it would be overcast or chance of a slight drizzle but they lucked out with the day being absolutely perfect.  We started at the Crown Plaza Foster City with getting ready pictures before making our short journey over to the ceremony site.  These two chose not to see each other before the wedding but took advantage of the time by having me photograph them prior to the ceremony.  This allowed them more time at the cocktail hour before the full reception started.  Being that we had already done an engagement session together I felt they were already comfortable with me and in front of the camera, I knew the poses that would work and some that just wouldn’t photograph the way I wanted them too, I always highly recommend an engagement session.  This would be my first of two weddings within 6 months at this site and each were completely beautiful and different.

When your client works at 60 S Market and suggests that we can use the rooftop for our session you jump on it and shoot your heart out.  This session took place the same day as the San Jose Jazz Festival but you never would have known with how serene the views appear from the patio.  This urban engagement session gave me renewed love for the downtown area with views of the Bank of Italy building the Knight Ridder building taking dominance.  Not only did these two pick an amazing location for engagement pictures wait till you see the wedding, both the way the venue dressed up its location for a wedding and who they had officiate the wedding were total bonuses.

P.S. check out the last picture, this is in the rear of the lobby!

I love that glow that a momma to be has, she radiates from the inside out with excitement and a flurry of other emotions.  I held a casting call at the end of last year and was connected to Vania through the process.  She is a soft spoken,  kind and gentle soul that just makes you want to be her friend.  She recently had her daughter so I am dedicating this post to Annabella, a very well loved little girl!

I have been pondering adding this for a long time, long before I was pregnant but never wanted to pull the trigger as I just wasn’t quite ready with so many other projects I had going.  I have been refining and streamlining my business over the past four and a half years and I can now say with a resounding YES!, I will be offering bump to baby sessions!

So what exactly is a bump to baby session?  It will be a combination of four different sessions starting with maternity pictures to showcase momma and her beautiful bump then we will have the newborn session which will take place within the first 10 days of the baby’s arrival, then there is the six month session to show the world the personality that is forming and last but not least a one year old session with a cake smash!

These sessions will be to pamper the new parents and captures all those moments along your journey.  It is the ultimate in luxury photography with each session carefully planned to meet your wants and needs.  Since these are very personal sessions I invite you to reach out to me early to see if we are a good match and your dates are available.

I am a bit behind on blogging weddings but I think it is a good thing some times as it means I am out and about experiencing life and capturing beautiful wedding images for my clients.  Now that I am taking some time to bond with my newborn I am trying to make the best use of his nap time and get caught up on things.

I first met Melanie and Gustavo at the Great Bridal Expo in San Jose where they took advantage of my show special and booked on the spot getting an exclusive discount, one great reason you should attend the next one in November!  In late November of 2014 is when I had the extreme opportunity to capture this Santa Clara University Mission Church wedding, the beauty and architecture of this venue is a must for the classic bride.  The weather was perfect, the flowers still blooming outside and the couple was glowing.
